CHANTILLY, Va. (January 13, 2014) — GKY & Associates, Inc., an industry leader in water resources, announces the hiring of Max Kuker as Water Resources Project Manager. Max will work with local municipalities to develop and implement stormwater programming to ensure regulatory compliance.

“Max provides unmatched expertise in State and Federal MS4 audit processes,” said Stu Stein, President of GKY. “His capabilities will allow us better serve our municipal clients, finding solutions to the growing challenges associated with Clean Water Act compliance.”

Max brings more than 16 years of water resources compliance experience to GKY. He most recently worked as senior compliance specialist and project manager for an EPA contractor. Throughout his career Max has focused his efforts on wet weather compliance, primarily in support of EPA Headquarters, several EPA regions, and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). Max has conducted over 40 traditional and non-traditional (i.e., universities and departments of transportation) Phase I and II MS4 compliance inspections in numerous EPA Regions throughout the country (including Region 3). In addition, Max oversaw the review of more than 400 annual reports in Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania for EPA Region 3. Max has also participated in the development of MS4 training program materials, and served as lead instructor for training workshops to educate company staff, federal, and state inspectors on proper construction, industrial and MS4 audit and inspection protocols.
